Leema grew up trying everything in the book to remove or hide her body hair, but when she noticed her own daughter was going through the same fate, she decided to write a children’s book as a resource to help normalize body hair from a young age. While shooting with us during for our 2016 Purple Hippo Vintage photoshoot, she discusses how the internet can aide self-confidence and comes clean about 2 things that used to make her self-conscious. 

Jen again interviewed with us as part of our body hair round table in February 2018 discussing the many impacts of body hair bullying.

We spoke to Markana in 2016 as she shot in vintage clothing for our Diversity feature, and again in 2018 as a part of our bullying awareness feature.

New to modelling with no previous experience, Tiffani joined our 2015 fashion shoot featuring Sakhuja custom-made designs and shared her story about how her forearm hair was a focal point for bullying in her youth. 

We got together again with Tiffani in 2018 as part of our body hair round table discussion on how body hair is a relatable bullying experience.
